Visiting Bourgogne des Flandres: Our Experience
While wandering around Bruges on a summer weekend in June, we came across a brewery called Bourgogne des Flandres. While we didn’t have the chance do take part in their brewery tour, we definitely took part in a beer flight tasting!
They have indoor and outdoor seating, and we were lucky enough to grab an outdoor table overlooking the canal. The beer was great, and the views were even better. We enjoyed the Belgium beer and the atmosphere of brewery so much that we came back the next day.

What’s on the Menu at Bourgogne des Flandres?
The brewery offers a variety of Belgium beers, wine & spirits, non-alcoholic drinks, and snack plates. However, their on draft beers include the following:
Bourgogne des flandres – A mix of a red/brown ale
Bruinen os – Brown beer
Blonden os – Blonde beer
Triplen os – Blonde triple
Our review of the beer here is that it is definitely worth trying. My personal favorite was the Blonden os, but I’d recommend getting a tasting flight to try a few different options. They also have a nice selection of snack plates, which is a perfect pairing when tasting beer.
Where is Bourgogne des Flandres located?
The brewery is located at Kartuizerinnenstraat 6, 8000 Brugge, Belgium.
The brewery is in the heart of Bruges historical district, right along the famous canals. The central location makes it a perfect stop during your next trip to Bruges, as it allows you to enjoy delicious Belgium beer with a beautiful view!

What are the Opening Hours?
The brewery is currently open from 10:30-6:30pm from Tuesdays-Sundays. For more information on opening hours or about the brewery tours, check out the brewery website.
How Many Breweries are in Bruges?
Although Belgium is famous for it’s beer, there are surprisingly only 3 active breweries in the town of Bruges today. However, Bruges actually has a long history of being home to breweries. In fact, when Bruges was at it’s peak of power in the 15th century there were over 30 breweries within the medieval city.

Is Bourgogne des Flandres Worth a Visit?
Definitely! We enjoyed the brewery so much that we went back for a 2nd visit! The brewery is a great place to taste some different authentic Belgium beers and is well worth a stop on your next trip to Bruges.
