Bruges is my personal favorite Christmas market day trip from Paris. If you haven’t heard of Bruges, its an absolutely beautiful medieval town. If you want to feel like you are in a fairytale, Bruges is worth visiting.
The Bruges Christmas markets are smaller than those in Strasbourg or Brussels, but the entire city feels so festive and charming. With its canals, cobblestone streets, medieval buildings, and historic squares, Bruges feels like stepping back into time.
I absolutely love visiting Bruges at Christmas. Although the markets do not take too long to explore, the beautiful setting made the entire experience feel magical.

Plus, Luxembourg City’s historic center is fairly compact and easy to see the highlights in a few hours so you can easily visit one of Europe’s smallest countries as a day trip!
